About Space Builders provides a complete design/build experience. We work closely with each of our clients to help them formulate ideas into thoughtful, highly functional floor plan designs and impeccably constructed spaces.
This design/build approach greatly benefits every client by allowing for project concept through completion under a single point of responsibility. This also translates into important construction time-savings and cost-savings.
Our design process starts during your initial in-home consultation (at no cost to the client). We will discuss your ideas and goals for the space, and look at any inspiration photos that you may have collected.
During the space walk-though, we will carefully evaluate:
- Existing building space and conditions
- Mechanicals (electrical, HVAC and plumbing)
- Natural light and artificial light sources
- Existing furniture that will be placed in the new space
After our initial consultation, we will have a good understanding of your design priorities and will draft hand-drawings of floor plans.
For a fee, About Space Builders can also prepare:
- Computer-generated 2D floor plans
- Computer-generated 3D rendering of your space

If your space has any building limitations, we take pride in developing innovative and creative solutions to work with such challenges.
During our next appointment, we will present the floor plan designs for your review. Further design discussions will include the selection and placement of architectural features and details, lighting and finishes.
